Getting ready to come to University
Your arrival date and time
New students will move into University accommodation over four days, from Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 September 2021.
To make moving in easier, we'll allocate you a scheduled time to arrive on campus and send this to the email address you gave when you applied for accommodation. If you haven't received the email by mid-September, contact the Student Living team.
Arriving at quarantine accommodation
If you are moving into our quarantine accommodation, we will email you information about where to go and when.
Your library card
Your library card is your official proof of ID on campus. You can use it to get into buildings and buy food and drink at the University.
Before you leave home, you need to register online and upload a photo of yourself for your library card. We will then be able to create your card so it's ready for you to use when you get here.
This is especially important if you are in accommodation with Eat and Drink credit. You will not be able to use your credit, or get your 10% discount at food outlets, until you have your library card.
What to bring, what not to bring
We recommend that you bring a minimal amount of belongings. When you arrive, you are allowed one person to help you carry all of your belongings into the building.
If you are coming from overseas, you can send your belongings to the University for collection when you arrive.
Planning your journey
Bath is a small and busy city with two universities. The roads around town and the campus will be busy over arrivals weekend, so allow time for delays. Contact the Student Living team if you're going to miss your scheduled arrival time.
If you're using sat nav, make sure you use the correct postcode so you are directed to the right entrance.

Your arrival day
When to arrive
You will have an allotted date and time to arrive on campus and a key collection point, depending on your accommodation building.
Parking on campus
Your email with your arrival date and time also tells you which parking permit to print.
Make sure your permit is displayed on your car's dashboard when you get to the campus entrance.
This will allow you to park your car for 30 minutes while you unpack your things.
Staff will then direct you to an allocated car park.
Collecting your keys and library card
Before you unpack your car, get your keys and library card from your designated collection point.
Ask a member of staff or one of our student ambassadors if you need help getting there.
Early or late arrival
During the moving in period
Key collection points will be open from 8.30am to 4pm, 23 to 26 September.
