Matt is responsible for postgraduate employability focused industrial engagement and personal development in the School of Management.

Role

Matt’s role is to lead the Postgraduate Employability Team in the School of Management which focuses on supporting MSc and MBA students through industrial focused activities such as short term collaborative projects and internships. Matt is also responsible for the Career Development Programme on the MBA which includes internal, industrial and external delivery.

Career

Matt began his career in telecommunications providing technical support to corporate and private clients. Moving into Higher Education Matt worked in an administrative capacity before managing Business School Placement Teams for both the University of the West of England and the University of Bath. Matt has recently made the transition from supporting undergraduate students to now working primarily with postgraduates on employability focused initiatives.

Education

Matt studied BA English Literature at the University of Hull and since working in Higher Education has undertaken ILM qualifications as well as the CIPD’s Learning and Development focused pathway. In his spare time Matt is a qualified Football Association coach which supports his current role at the University of Bath.
