Career

Michael is a retired solicitor whose practice specialised in international organised crime. He was previously Executive Chair of his law firm, Clarke Willmott LLP, where he led a key programme of strategic change. As well as extensive experience advising at board level, he has also been:

• Chair, CBI South West
• Chair, The Somerset Development Partnership
• Chair, the Board of Trustees of the Royal West of England Academy

He is a Governor and Chair of Audit & Risk at Arts University Bournemouth.
