This research considers the policy mix between supply-side and demand-side measures regarding eco products and process innovations using a quantitative evaluation study of German firms.
There is currently a relative lack of evaluation studies regarding policy mix that include public procurement as a demand-side measures as most studies focus on supply-side measures, in particular, regulations, environmental subsidies and taxes.
Our contribution is an investigation of the policy mix between supply-side and demand-side measures by estimating treatment effects of public procurement on eco innovations.
