This event will launch the book Drag as Marketplace: Contemporary Cultures, Identities and Business.

We invite you to join us for the launch of Drag as Marketplace: Contemporary Cultures, Identities, and Business, co-edited by Dr Mario Campana.

This interdisciplinary essay collection, written by a global team of scholars, explores the intersection of drag, identity and marketing across Europe, Asia and the US.

The book offers fresh perspectives on drag’s far-reaching impact on contemporary culture and business, from the art of performance to its role as a political statement, lifestyle and multi-million-dollar industry.

During this event, a panel of experts will discuss how drag has evolved from niche queer art form to a cultural phenomenon and a mainstream market, captivating audiences worldwide.

Drinks and nibbles will be served after the event.
