This event offers a great opportunity to build connections with others in the field.

The UK Women in Finance Workshop aims to bring together women in finance from across the UK and beyond, fostering a dynamic and supportive environment for research, networking and professional development.

This is the fourth in a series of annual workshops, following successful events at Warwick Business School (2024), Imperial College Business School (2025) and Bayes Business School (2026).

While the event is primarily focused on women, everyone is welcome to attend and participate.

The programme will include keynote speeches, research paper presentations with discussants, a poster session for PhD students and early-career researchers, and opportunities for networking.

The keynote speakers are Professor Kai Li (UBC Sauder School of Business) and Professor Cláudia Custódio (Imperial College Business School).

We welcome the widest possible participation. Registration is free and will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with details announced separately.

This event is sponsored by the University of Bath School of Management, the Academic Female Finance Committee of the American Finance Association (AFFECT), and International Review of Finance.

Call for papers

We invite submissions of research papers from all areas of finance. We particularly encourage submissions from women researchers, PhD students and early-career scholars.

Please submit a full manuscript in PDF format by 1 February 2027 to women-in-finance@bath.ac.uk.
