- enhance your CV
- strengthen your personal and professional skills
The University of Bath is home to modern study and leisure facilities. The campus includes:
The city of Bath
Bath is a beautiful city with a rich history, surrounded by rolling green hills. Students enjoy a vibrant life here. It is England’s only city to have World Heritage status. It might be small, but there’s plenty to see and do.
Bath has some of the lowest crime rates in the country, making it one of the safest cities in England and Wales. We work hard to make our campus a safe place for students.
The city has great transport links. Bristol International Airport, serving over 100 destinations, is easy to get to and less than 20 miles away. Bath Spa train station provides direct routes to London (90 minutes) and Bristol (15 minutes). Bath also gives you easy access to explore the rest of the South West of England.
Courses you can study
When you apply for our exchange programme, you will need to tell us what courses you want to study. View a complete list of 2019-20 courses.
Each course is worth six ECTS credits. You can study four or five courses each semester.
We also offer British Studies courses for our exchange, visiting, and Erasmus+ students.
Information for Erasmus+ students could change depending on the outcome of the Brexit negotiations. Read the University's latest Brexit advice for EU students.
How to apply
To take part in the exchange programme, your university must nominate you. Your university must also be one of our international exchange partners.
After we receive your university's nomination, we will invite you to apply.
If English is not your first language, you must have the following grade from either of these English language tests:
- 6.5 overall in IELTS

Once you’re here
We want all our students to feel at home. At the start of each semester, we organise a variety of orientation sessions and activities. We also run lots of events throughout the semester.
The Student Accommodation Team can give you advice about renting private accommodation. Frequent bus services link the campus, city and major student residential areas.
