The Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 defined 87% of our research as world-leading or internationally excellent, ranking us 12th for research quality in the UK.

In the most recent Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) report, published in May 2013, the QAA reviewed our teaching and confirmed that we've met all their expectations for quality and standards in higher education.

The QAA also highlighted good practice, including:

• providing accessible, reliable, and up-to-date information for students, staff, and the public
• using our Quality Assurance Code of Practice to maintain our own standards of teaching
