Learn from the experts

Whether you're studying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, you’ll be taught by leading academics in an environment of innovation and discovery.

Your learning experience

At Bath, our mission is to provide an outstanding student experience through flexible learning and expert teaching.

As a Bath student, you'll learn about the key areas of your subject through a range of methods. These include lectures, tutorials and problem-solving scenarios, depending on the course you choose.

Through our blended-learning experience, 'The Bath Blend', you can study on campus and online.

If you do a course with a placement, you’ll get practical, real-world experience in your field and develop transferable skills like independent critical thinking.

On some of our courses, you can also choose to study optional units and explore your other areas of interest.

Our teaching and research are nationally-recognised and accredited, so you can be sure that your education is of the highest standard.

In 2017, The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) awarded us a Gold for excellence in our teaching, taking into account factors like student satisfaction, retention rates and employment.

The Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 defined 87% of our research as world-leading or internationally excellent, ranking us 12th for research quality in the UK.
