Autism social group
A social group on campus for students who identify as being on the autism spectrum.
The Disability Service organise a social group for any student who identifies as being on the Autism Spectrum/has Aspergers (whether there is a formal diagnosis or not). The social group runs fortnightly on Tuesday evenings (6pm - 8pm) during the semester starting on Tuesday 1 October 2019. The venue will vary so do email to ask.
Activities vary each week and semester but often include film nights, quizzes, table tennis, board games, pizza nights and themed activities.
Drinks and snacks are provided and the group is supported by a member of staff from the Disability Team.
Any suggestions for activities are welcome (and we are happy to help students consider or plan activities they may wish to organise off campus such as cinema trips or visiting a local points of interest).
If you would like to attend, you can either just turn up on one of the specific dates, or you can email the Disability Service at email@example.com to be added to our mailing list.
