Supported group: Managing your ADHD at university

A group to help you learn to manage your ADHD in a university setting and help you study more effectively.

Managing Your ADHD At University is a supported group designed to help you learn to manage your ADHD in a university setting and help you to study more effectively. Using the principles of action learning, the group is focused on providing peer-to-peer problem solving support and advice. It is facilitated by our Disability Advisers.

The group meets over a series of sessions, and topics will include common areas of executive functioning difficulty such as:

  • activation
  • focus
  • effort
  • memory
  • emotion
  • action

You will need to show motivation to engage with the group. Sessions are in-person on campus, and you will need to commit to attending regularly.

Who is it for?

The group is for students who are enrolled at the University of Bath and have a diagnosis of ADHD or are currently awaiting an assessment for ADHD. It may not be suitable for students with ADHD alongside other conditions which may need to be addressed first, or for students who do not learn well in a group setting.

How to join?

We run the group once per Semester. Students can be referred to the group by Disability Advisers. If you are interested in joining the group, please contact the Disability Advice team at disabilityadvice@bath.ac.uk.
