Local counselling services
In addition to our Counselling and Mental Health Service, there are many local counselling and therapy services which you can access if you need help.
Focus Counselling offers low-cost counselling and is located in Bath city centre. It also holds meetings for a fortnightly eating disorders group.

Bath Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling provides a referral service for BCPC-trained psychotherapists and counsellors and offers a range of fees to suit different budgets.

Off the Record provides free advice and counselling of between 6 and 12 sessions for people aged between 10 and 25. You can self-refer by text message on 07753 891745 or you can complete their self-referral form.

Womankind offers free or affordable counselling and psychotherapy for women in the Bristol area. They have helplines for women in distress or suffering domestic abuse and hold psychotherapy groups on specific issues.

Developing Health & Independence has several centres around the area to help people who struggle with drug and alcohol abuse. They offer tailored programmes from a range of practical and emotional support services. The Bath centre has a drop-in room for clients.

Cruse Bereavement Care offers free support, access to ongoing bereavement groups and telephone support.
