During Welcome in January 2026 you must attend department Welcome events which will help you settle into University life.

Welcome runs from Saturday 31 January to Tuesday 3 February 2026.

Please check this page regularly as sometimes we need to change the times and locations of Welcome events. During Welcome, we would recommend you check your timetable at the start of each day.

Saturday 31 January

Start Finish Location Description
12:30pm 1:15pm Meet inside 10 East Campus tour- Join a small group of MSc students on a Student Ambassador led guided Tour of 10East and campus
1:15pm 2:30pm Pavilion, 10 East Welcome to the School - Your official welcome to the School of Management with a complimentary welcome lunch, designed to help you make connections with your new course mates and meet some key staff
3:00pm 4.00pm 10 East 0.19 Introduction to your MSc and meet your classmates- led by your Student Experience Officer you will check in to your MSc course and meet your new course mates as you take part in some interactive games

Monday 2 February

Start Finish Location Description
11:15am 1:00pm 10 East 0.19 Director of Studies Welcome Talk- meet your Director of Studies (DoS) and receive an overview of your course content, structure and expectations. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the course
2.15pm 3.05pm 10 East 5.28 University Life Session- helping you get settled at the University. This session is designed to help you make the most of your time at Bath, covering key topics from getting involved in the community and staying safe, to finding support and understanding our values
3.15pm 4.30pm 10 East 5.28 Getting Started on Your MSc talk- - Led by your Student Experience Officer and Programme Support this session will cover key information including support to help you succeed, timetabling and opportunities to get involved this year

Tuesday 3 February

Start Finish Location Description
10:15am 12:00pm 10 East 0.19 The Big Team Challenge with IBM - This is an exciting, interactive, team-building event and gives you the opportunity to meet representatives from one of our Corporate Partners
12.15pm 1.05pm 10 East 0.19 Careers and Internships talk- This session will give you an overview of the graduate and internship options available and how the Careers team can support you, as well as the co-curricular activities offered to help you succeed
2.15pm 4.05pm 10 East 0.19 Careers Workshop -Find out how to tailor your application at all stages of the recruitment process including online applications, CVs, interviews and assessment centres. You will also have an overview of the support and resources available
