Application deadline

Applications for the Sanctuary Scholarship 2021 have now closed and will re-open in 2022.

Selection process

Selection will be based on the information submitted in your scholarship application and other contextual information, as provided in your application to study at Bath.

The selection panel will select applicants on behalf of the University, those deemed to be in greatest need will be selected in their discretion. The panel will take into consideration:

  • barriers to accessing education
  • personal & financial circumstances
  • reasons for study
  • ambitions for the future
  • how you will contribute to the University community

This is a competitive process and only one applicant will be successful.

A panel of senior staff from the University and Students’ Union will select the successful scholarship awardee. The decision of the panel will be final.

We aim to inform all applicants of the outcome of their scholarship application by the end of July.

Conditions of award

If you are awarded a Sanctuary Scholarship, we advise you to seek professional advice about how this could affect your asylum support.
