Register for an account

  1. Register to get access to the University's Warp-It account (this needs to be manually approved and can take a few working days).

  2. Once approved, you will receive an email from Warp-It with your log in details. You can then log in here.

  3. Check you are happy with the rules for using Warp-It and tick the box to confirm.

  4. You can then access your personal dashboard, showing you items you are giving away, watching, claiming, your wish list and more.

Adding an unwanted item for someone else to reuse

From your dashboard, click the 'add an item' button. Fill in the fields to add a title and description of the item you are giving away, the categories it comes under, measurements, location, dates available and photos (.jpg files only).

When complete, 'click add item'. You can then view how your listing appears.

If someone wants to take your item, you will receive an email informing you of this, with their contact details.

Finding an item you need

From the homepage or your dashboard, use the search box in the top right hand corner to enter what you're looking for. Press the orange magnifying button to search and browse the results.

Once you have found an item you're interested in, click on the listing to view further information.

Use the quantity drop down menu to select how many you'd like and click 'claim now.'

You can also click the 'contact owner' link underneath to send a question to the staff member that ahs posted the item.

You will then receive an email explaining where your item is located and who to contact to arrange collection.

You then need to update the status of the item to show that it has been collected.
